Doris B. Kirkland

Bartow- Doris B. Kirkland, age 90, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at her home in Bartow. Born July 8, 1930 in Mulberry, she was the daughter of the late Henry Monroe and Lois (Guthrie) Baker. Mrs. Kirkland retired from GTE after 33 years of service working in Lake Wales, Tampa and Bartow. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bartow. Along with her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband Robert Hunter Kirkland in 1986. She is survived by a loving family that includes her children: Judith A. Frost (Glen) of Buford, GA, Larry K. Kirkland (Cathy) of Bartow, Gerald A. Kirkland (Valerie) of Bartow, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and her sister Annette Barwick of Plant City. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 1st at 11:00am at the First Presbyterian Church of Bartow.
