Donald Topper

Donald "Don" Topper, age 86,passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at Lakeland Regional Palative Care Unit. Born January 19, 1933, in Greensburg, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Irene (Buttler) Topper. Mr. Topper was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean war. He retired from IMC as a master mechanic. He was a member of the VFW Post #8002 where he served in the Honor Guard in Lakeland. Mr. Topper is preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Trena A. (Keifer) Topper, Children: Leeanna Renfroe (Will), Robert Bellew (Tonya), Scott Topper (Wendy), Dana Massey (Rick), Colleen Harrison, Donald P. Topper, Jr. (Lisa), Stacey Topper (Joan). Grandchildren: Seth Renfroe (Krista), Tyler Bellew (Faith), Hannah Bellew, Ansley Topper, Nolan Topper, Whitney Juarez (Norman), Ricky Massey, Josh Massey (Kelly), Denny Harrison (Tina), Travis Topper, Megan Topper, Skylar Topper, Devin Topper, and Adam Topper, ten great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Topper was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family,playing golf, hunting, and fishing. One of his most proud moments was taking part in the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. with other veterans. He was accompanied on the flight by his son Scott Topper. Mr. Topper will be laid to rest in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at a later date.
