Donald Thompson

Donald Thompson, age 87, of Fort Meade, FL, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, in Bartow. Mr Thompson was born April 14, 1921 in Toronto, Canada. Mr. Thompson was employed by TMX as a truck driver. He Served in the United States Army in the 11th Airborne and the 511th Parachute Infantry during World War II. He was a member of the Fort Meade VFW post 11179. Mr. Thompson attended the Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wives Dorothy and Hope. He is survived by his spouse Shirley Horton Thompson of Fort Meade and several stepchildren. Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. The burial will be in Florida National Cemetery.
