Donald Eugene "Pops" Moyer Sr.

Fort Meade - Donald Eugene Moyer, Sr "Pops", 82, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Don was born November 19, 1933 in Knox, PA to Della & Leroy Moyer, After bringing his family to Fort Meade in 1977 from Tampa, he and his wife successfully ran several businesses and held countless benefits raising money for the local community. Don was preceded in death by his two brothers; Carl Moyer & Russ Moyer, two sisters; June Steffy & Helen Cacek and two grandsons. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Marylon "Kay" Moyer. Two daughters; Shirley Ankrim-Moyer (Dan) and Lisa Moyer Rice (Joe). Five sons; Donald E. Moyer, Jr. (Marti), Bruce L Moyer (Valerie), Richard Moyer (Tina), Charles E Moyer and Arthur D Moyer (Verna). Two sisters; Shirley Long & Vickie Daniska and two brothers; Robert Moyer & Walter Moyer. Don was also blessed with 20 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and 35 nieces & nephews. Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2016 from 10 to 11 am at McLean Funeral. Graveside service will be held Friday, May 6, 2016, at 11:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL. Memorials may be made to The Help of Fort Meade.
