Donald A. Schroer

Donald A. Schroer, age 73, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023, in Lakeland. Born December 11, 1949, in Mineola, NY, he was the son of the late Otto and Clara (Saccone) Schroer. Donald was a member of the New York National Guard for many years. A graduate of Rutgers Law School he served as a lawyer in the office of claims and appeals for the Social Security Administration. Also, Mr. Shroer was a member for the Florida Bar Association. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Ann Schroer. He is survived by his son, Michael Bonner (Randi) of Bartow, his siblings, Gene Schroer (Linda) of Lynbrook, NY and Clara Anne White of Tamarac, FL. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Quinn Bonner Jaime Bonner, Brett Bonner, his niece, Laurel White and nephew, Gene Schroer. The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 22nd from 5pm to 7pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, February 23rd at 10:00am at Saint John Nuemann Catholic Church, 501 East Carter Road in Lakeland.
