Dilton Franklin Burke

Mr. Dilton Franklin Burke, age 65, died Monday June 23, 2008 in North Carolina. Born July 2, 1942 in Rome, GA, Mr. Burke was a longtime area resident. Mr. Burke a moved to Marion, NC in 2004 from Bradley. He had formerly worked for Mosaic. He was also an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife Sylvia Burke, two daughters; Stacia Veree Norman of Glen St. Mary, FL, Teresa Nadine Watson also of Marion, NC and a brother Charles Burke of Odessa, FL. He also leaves behind five grandchildren; Jamie Miller, Brandon Taylor, Josh Watson, Tiffany Watson, Caleb Watson, and a great granddaughter Kylee Miller. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home 650 East Main Street in Bartow where family will receive friends Saturday June 28, 2008 from 10 - 11 AM. Services will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home chapel.
