Derwood Brent Wiggins

WINTER HAVEN - Mr. Derwood Brent Wiggins, 72, a child of our God, went to be with The Lord, Friday, December 16, 2011 due to heart failure. Brent was born November 1, 1939, he was a lifelong resident of Polk County. He was a four year veteran of the Navy. Brent's extended family consisted of his fellow friends and coworkers at the SRD/FDOT in Bartow where he proudly served for 49 years as a Project Manager. Brent is survived by his son, Derek Wiggins of Lakeland and his daughter, April Bliznyakov of Minnesota as well as two grandchildren. Family will receive friends December 21, 2011 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home.
