DENSYL LEE HAYMON died April 30, 2010 at the age of 92. He has lived in Lakeland, FL for the past 13 years and resided with his daughter’s family, Fahy and Carol Robinson, for the last 17 years. On May 2, in Bartow, FL there was a viewing with family and friends. The funeral services will be held- SATURDAY, May 8, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Rabenhorst East Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Boulevard, Baton Rouge, La.
Mr. Haymon was born in Louisiana and retired after 38 years for Ethyl Corp. in the Petrochemical Industry. His great joy was hunting and fishing in the swamps, bayous and forests of Louisiana. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Mr. Haymon is survived by his wife, Margery Chapman Haymon of Lakeland, his son DL Haymon, Jr. of Baton Rouge and daughter Carol Haymon Robinson of Lakeland. He has 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren. He has one surviving brother, Derryl Haymon of Baton Rouge and three sisters Elouise McMichael of Bossier City, La, Ellavay Carpenter and Lee Duszynski of Baton Rouge.
Mr. Haymon was preceded in death by two brothers Elmer and Odis Haymon and one sister Evelyn Wolsefer.
