Dennis L. Herbert

Dennis L. Herbert, age 61, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at home in Bartow while surrounded by family. Born April 18, 1954 in Youngstown, OH, he was the son of the late Alan Herbert and Jane Herbert of Ohio. Dennis worked at Ametek, US Gauge for 12 years and went on to retire from the City of Lakeland where he served in the Risk Management Department. Dennis was proceeded in death by his brother Alan, who is survived by Diane. Along with his mother Jane, Dennis is survived by his wife of 28 years Sheri Martin Herbert of Bartow, his sons: Travis Herbert (Megan) of Tampa, Evan Herbert of Clearwater, and Jeffrey Alldredge (Michelle) of Bartow. Dennis also leaves behind his brothers: Pat Herbert, Gerald Herbert (Mary Ann), his sister Carol Loree (Mike), and his grandchildren: Devlin, Ember, and Jackson and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 2nd from 10am to 11am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home chapel.
