Debra L. Wells

Debra L. "Debbie" Wells, age 59, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at home in Bartow. Born May 21, 1956 in Bartow, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Thelma Palmer. Mrs. Wells worked as a Underwriting Service Assistant for State Farm for over 30 years. She was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church in Winter Haven where she taught Sunday School for many years. Debbie will be remembered for her unrivaled work ethic and, most of all, her loving devotion to her family. She is survived by her loving family that includes her husband, Carl E. Wells of Bartow, her children: Greg Green of Bartow, Carl "Doodle" Wells, Jr. (Ann Marie) of Winter Haven, and Ashley Wells Vann (David) also of Winter Haven. She also leaves behind her sister, Kathy Dutton of Crawfordville, FL, and four grandchildren: Gavin, Levi, Kylee, and Kinsey. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 26th from 2pm to 4pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will be Monday, July 27th at 10:00am at the Central Baptist Church, 57 6th Street N.W. in Winter Haven.
