Deborah A. Ray

Deborah A. Ray, passed away from cancer Sunday, August 25, 2013 at home her home in Highland City. Debbie was born on May 11, 1954 in Bartow and remained a lifelong resident of the Bartow and Highland City area. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Mosaic, formerly IMC and Cargill, for over 30 years. Debbie is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ray and is survived by a loving family that in includes her mother; Betty Newman of Bartow, three sisters, Dorothy "Ieleen" Richards, Victoria "Vikki" O'Neal, and Roberta "Robbie" Newman all of Bartow. She also leaves behind her mother-in-law Patsy Greenwell of Blountstown, FL, and numerous nieces, nephews, and sister-in-laws. A Celebration of Life service will be held in Debbie's honor on Saturday August 31st at 11:00AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Komen for the Cure at komen.org.
