Dawn S. Peterson

Dawn Ruth Myers Sunday Peterson, age 88, passed away from respiratory failure, Saturday, November 14, 2009 in Hagerstown, MD. Mrs. Peterson was born on July 19, 1921 in Baltimore, MD. Mrs. Peterson moved to Bartow in 1970 and was a member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Bartow. She was also a member of the Women's Republican Club of Winter Haven, the Winter Haven Moose Lodge, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Mrs. Peterson was preceded in death by her late husband Walt Peterson, and daughter Deanna Stratton. She is survived by two sons; George Sunday and wife Sandra , Brian Sunday, and four step sons; Roy Peterson, John Peterson, James Peterson, and Randall Peterson. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and step grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow, where the family will receive friends Thurs. Nov. 19th from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm Fri. Nov. 20th at the funeral home chapel.
