David D. Sporleder

Mr. David D. Sporleder, age 73, died Monday, November 5, 2007 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Born October 21, 1934 in Sylvania, Ohio, Mr. Sporleder was a longtime area resident. Mr. Sporleder was a chemical worker and worked for Ashland Chemical. He was also a former Dixie Youth Baseball Coach. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, JoAnne Sporleder of Bartow, two daughters; Kitty Clanton (Rick), Mindy Porter (Bill) and a son, Tracy "T" Sporleder all of Bartow. He also leaves behind two brothers; John Sporleder of Sylvania, OH, Tom Sporleder of Columbus, OH, and four grandchildren; Richard Clanton, Cole Clanton, Kyle Clanton, and Brooke Sporleder. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street, Bartow where family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM. Funeral services will follow Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home chapel.
