David Edward Pence

David Edward Pence, 65, of Bartow, FL, died Saturday, August 14, 2010, of heart failure. Dave was born November 28, 1944 in Chicago, IL. He moved to Bartow 40 years ago from Chicago. Dave retired from the U.S. Post Office after 30 years. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Winter Haven. Dave loved to play Softball, he played many years for the Post Office & Church teams. Supporter of the AWANA Club. He is survived by his wife Mary Pence of Bartow. Two Daughters; Wendy & husband Eddie Watson and Debbie Pence both of Winter Haven. Two Sons; Eddie & wife Cyndee Pence and Paul & wife Charlene Pence both of Lake Wales. One Sister; Bonnie Kersey of Chicago, IL. Five Grandchildren; Ashley Pence, Alyssa Watson, Hunter Pence, Tyler Pence and Chase Janose. Numerous nieces & nephews. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow, FL, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Funeral service will be at Faith Baptist Church, 2140 Crystal Beach Road in Winter Haven at 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 18, 2010, Rev. Nathan O. Osborne officiating. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
