Homeland -David Gassett , age 69, passed away on September 2, 2024, at his residence in Homeland. He was born on April 12, 1955, in Bartow, FL. He worked as a Meat Cutter. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Homeland . He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, going to family sport events and going to church. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifton & Faye Gassett and brother Lewis Kelly Gassett. He is survived by his loving family that includes his brother Eddy Gassett (Melissa), sister Patricia Garcia, nephews Clifton Garcia (CJ) , Joseph Garcia (Jo Jo), Chris Coots & Dustin Coots, niece Candace Garcia, great nephew Waylon Garcia and special friends Betty & Steve Crowell. Family will receive friends Friday, September 13, 2024, from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Homeland Cemetery, Homeland.
