David Ledger Carter

David Ledger Carter, 85, of Orlando, FL, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at Serenades by Sonata in Longwood, FL. Mr. Carter was born March 13, 1929 in Blackshear, GA. He retired in 1970 after 24 years in the US Marine Corp. Then he worked with the Dept of Business Regulations for the State of Florida as a Health Inspector for 23 years. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his son Wayne David Carter. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Betty Carter of Orlando, FL. Daughter Cynthia Walloch of Apopka, FL. Brother Frank Eugene Carter of Cheyenne, WY, grandson Brian Walloch and many nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade, 307 East Broadway in Fort Meade. Funeral service will follow at First Baptist Church of Fort Meade at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 6, 2014 Rev. Kenny Slay officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL.
