Daniel L. Carmichael Sr.

              When a man is a great father it outshines every other accomplishment in his life. Daniel Lamar Carmichael Sr. passed away August 1st, 2018, at the age of 76, surrounded by his children. He was a devoted and loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many. He is preceded in death by his father Alexander Odell Carmichael, his mother Desser Rea Scarborough, his step father William Benton Scarborough, his brothers Alec Wardell Carmichael, Rex Carmichael, his sisters Francis Estelle Willis King, Edith Bailey, Barbara Fussell, and Barbara Hinks. He is survived by his sisters Shirley Altman, Nancy Kirkland, Merrittia Allred, Margaret Carmichael, and his children Debbie Carmichael Mallory, Patti Carmichael Lufkins and John Lufkins, Daniel Carmichael Jr., and Ashley Carmichael Baldwin and Nathan Baldwin, grandchildren Eric Harrison, Joey Thelen, Jessica Thelen, John Daniel Lufkins, Kierstyn Carmichael, Riley Ray Baldwin, and Neeson Baldwin, and 12 great grandchildren. Dan will be remembered for his great love of his family, his business Carmichael’s Discount Beverage and all of his patrons there. He was a proud patriot and a US Air Force Veteran. His services will be held at Whidden McLean Funeral Home in Bartow, FL. Viewing is at 10 am and funeral services at 11 am. Burial to Follow at Wildwood Cemetery
