Dale Franklin Lastinger, Sr.

Dale Lastinger, Sr., 73, of Fort Meade, FL., died Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at Winter Haven Hospital of a brain aneurysm. He was born on June 21, 1933 in Bowling Green, FL. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Meade. He also served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Lastinger worked for US Steel and Alcoa Aluminum, along with his work in the phosphate industry he was a Rancher. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joan Lastinger of Fort Meade, FL. Son, Dale Lastinger, Jr. of Fort Meade, FL. Sister, Geraldine Lastinger Horne (Husband, Harry) of Loudon, TN. Brother, Pyatt Lastinger (Wife, Verna) of Fort Meade, FL. Two grandsons, Frankie Lastinger (Wife, Kristy) of Homestead, FL and Jasin Lastinger of Fort Meade, FL. Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway, Fort Meade, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2007. Funeral service will be at First Baptist Church of Fort Meade at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 13, 2007, Rev. Kenny Slay officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL.
