Curtis "Pete" Stalvey Roberson

Highland City - Curtis "Pete" Stalvey Roberson, age 78, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at His residence in Highland City of Parkinson's disease. He was born December 9, 1935 in Jacksonville, GA. Mr. Pete was the State Champ in 1953, 1954 & 1955 running the 880 in track. He helped found Highland City Dixie Youth Baseball in 1967 and served as President for 11 years. He retired after 30 years with Crown Cork & Seal. He was preceded in death by his wife Jo Bartley Roberson and mother Naomi Stalvey. He is survived by his son Michael Roberson & wife Audrey of Lakeland, FL and daughter Tamala Jo Halford of Winter Haven, FL. Two granddaughters Brooke & Lauren and sister Grace Collins. Family will receive friends Monday, April 28, 2014 from 6 to 8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home,650 East Main Street in Bartow.
