Constance S. Raiford

Constance S. "Connie" Raiford, age 92, of Bartow, died Sunday, September 27, 2009 after a short illness, at Shepherd's Cove Hospice in Albertville, Ga. Born January 11, 1917 in Minneapolis, MN., Mrs. Raiford was a resident of Bartow since 1919, moving from Minnesota. She was a clerk for Mutual Wholesale Company of Lakeland for 30 years. She was a member of the McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church of Bartow. She was preceded in death by her husband: James V. Raiford. She is survived by her son: Rev. Gene R. Raiford & wife Ronda of Arab, Ala. Two granddaughters: Melanie Olmstead of Bartow & Dianna Raiford-Andrews of Huntsville, AL; one grandson: James Raiford of Phoenix, AZ. 4 great grandchildren & numerous neices & nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday October 2, at 10:00 am at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
