Cody Sherral Woods

Cody Sherral Woods, 68, of Highland City, FL, died Friday, April 9, 2010, at Tampa General Hospital. Mr. Woods was born August 13, 1941 in Fort Meade, FL. He served in the US Army. He worked for Polk County as a Road Maintenance Foreman. Mr. Woods was a member of Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Mary Lou Barnes Woods of Highland City. Three Daughters, Sheryl Seaman Sharla Washer both of Highland City and Shauna Helms of Lakeland. Two Sisters, Barbara Sloan of Lakeland and Betty Zehr of Okeechobee. Two Brothers, Scott Woods of Fort Meade and Warren Woods of Highland City. Nine Grandchildren; Miranda Arduengo, Tia Watson, Brittany Seaman, Jeffery Washer, Ashley Woods, Justin Helms, Jonathan Helms, Brian O'Connor and Tabatha Escue and Two Great Grandchildren Zoie Helms & Cody Ardungo. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street, Bartow, FL, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Funeral service will be at Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church, 1125 Hwy 17 South at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 14, 2010 , Rev. Reggie Palmer officiating. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
