Clifton E. Ricks

Bartow - Clifton E. Ricks, 88, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 at his residence of respiratory failure. Born December 3, 1924 in Rockledge, GA, Mr. Ricks was a resident of Bartow since 1957, moving from Dublin, GA, . He was a shipping foreman for W.R. Grace Phosphate for many years. He was a graduate of Rockledge, GA High School. Mr. Ricks worked the family farm in Rockledge for several years before moving to Bartow. He is survived by his wife: Lexie L. Ricks & a daughter: Melissa Harrell both of Bartow; two sons: Kenneth Ricks, Bartow & Lynn Ricks, Tallahassee; brother: Joel Ricks, Jacksonville; two sisters: Jean Crisp (John), Ennis, TX & Joy Horton (Bob), Greensboro, NC; grandson: Travis Harrell (Sara), Bartow; great grandson: Gus Harrell, Bartow. Family will receive friends Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Gandy Cemetery, Connersville.
