Clara Virginia Kersey

Mrs. Clara Virginia Kersey, age 75 passed away Saturday May 28, 2011 in Bartow. Mrs. Kersey was born on June 28, 1935 in Turkey Creek. She worked as a School Cafeteria Attendant in Fort Meade for many years. She was a member of the Fort Meade Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Ollie Hunter and her granddaughter Ginger. She is survived by four daughters; Jackie Marie Kersey Summers (Terry) of Fort Meade, Alice Kersey Slora of Fort Meade, Mary Kersey Goan (Drex) of League City, TX, Ramona Kersey Cartagena of Bartow, her son William "Billy" Kersey (Linda Jane) of Bartow, 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and many friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday June 1st from 7pm to 9pm at McLean Funeral Home in Fort Meade. Funeral services will follow Thursday June 2nd at 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church, 135 East Broadway in Fort Meade.
