Christine T. Hodges

Bartow - Christine T. Hodges, age 97, passed away on July 25, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Health and Medical Center. She was born on September 20, 1927, in Dale County, Alabama. Christine worked as a seamstress for Polk General Hospital and enjoyed sewing, watching baseball, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest (E.L.) Hodges; her son, John Hodges; her daughter, Tesia Mills; and her grandchildren, Michelle Hodges, Shawn Hodges, and Benjamin Mills. Christine is survived by her grandchildren: Shelley Torres (Maya), Aaron Mills (Karlie), and Nathan Mills (Krista); eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Collier. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at 1:00 PM.
