Cheryl Whiting

Bartow- Cheryl K. Whiting, 58, of Bartow, died Saturday, October 27, 2007, of cancer at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. A native of Fort Meade, Mrs. Whiting lived in Bartow 31 yrs, moving from Lakeland. She was an avid tennis player and a member of the Polk County Tennis Association. She is survived by her husband: Ted A. Whiting of Bartow; son: Corey Whiting of Temple Terrace; daughter: Melissa Jones of Auburndale; mother: Gladys Hancock of Fort Meade; 2 brothers: Bill Hancock of Bartow & Butch Hancock of Bowling Green; 2 sisters: Pat Whidden of Suwanee, Ga; & Iris Hancock of Fort Meade; 2 granddaughters Kaylee Barfield & Cierra Jones both of Auburndale. Family will recieve friends Tuesday, Oct 30, 2-3 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM.
