Charlie Mack Shirley

Charlie Mack Shirley, age 91, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 23, 1933 in Bellwood, AL to Levy & Ada Shirley. He served in the US Navy. Mack was a Fort Meade Firefighter for 51 years and a Fort Meade Police Officer for 33 years.. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade and a member of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. Mack is survived by his wife of 69 years Kathryn Hancock Shirley of Fort Meade, son Allen Shirley & wife Peggy of Green Cove Springs, two daughters Janet Shirley Willis & husband Billy of Fort Meade and Karen Shirley Hilleshiem & husband Gary of Lakeland. Five grandchildren Ryan McAuley & wife Charity, Candice Riddle & husband Philip, Chelsee Nicholls & husband Bryant, Cody Shirley and Hunter Willis, nine great grandchildren Cailyn, Carson, Charleigh, Mason, Avery, Bailey, Braylon, Matthew and Graeson. Family will receive friends Monday, December 16, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, 307 East Broadway in Fort Meade, FL. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL.
