Charles Paul Rhoden, Sr.

Charles Paul Rhoden, Sr., 71, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022, in Southaven, MS. He was born December 12, 1950 in Chicago, IL, to Arnold & Ruth Rhoden. Chuck proudly served his country in the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army. He earned his wings like his dad and big brother before him. Chuck was a journeyman maintenance mechanic. He was a man of faith who loved his family dearly. He is survived by the Fantastic 4: his #1 son, Charles (Mary) Rhoden, Jr. of Richland, WA; his three daughters, Pamela Vaughan of Southaven, MS, Christina (Thomas) McCorkel of Cookeville, TN, and Sandra (Louis) Murphy of Flower Mound, TX; seven granddaughters, Alexis Schwartz, Aurora Schwartz, Devin McCorkel, Trinity (Jake) Edwards, Jenna Schwartz, Rachel Rhoden and Sadie Murphy; seven grandsons, Alex (Victoria) Vaughan, Gabriel Hopkins, Nathan Vaughan, Austin Schwartz, Zachary Rhoden, Micah Rhoden and Derick Rhoden; two great-granddaughters, Aubree Vaughan and Emma Vaughan; two great-grandsons, Peter Edwards and Bjorn Cleven; three siblings, sister Mary Pence; brother Bruce Rhoden and sister Dorothy (Ted) Albritton; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The Family will receive friends Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral service will 10:00 am Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be 1:30 pm Wednesday, January 26, 2022 Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
