Charles "Ray" Parsons

Lakeland - Charles "Ray" Parsons , age 66, passed away November 30, 2022, at his residence in Lakeland. He was born on May 22, 1956, in Milford, DE. He was a resident of Lakeland since 1994. He worked for the City of Lakeland in Building & Maintenance. Prior to working for the City of Lakeland he worked for Perdue in Salisbury, MD, Pittsville Volunteer Fire Department, Lakeland Dragstrip, Bubba Mud Ranch, Teen Clubs and Lakeland Housing Authority. Most recently he was the owner of The BBQ Shack. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles H. Parsons & Doris Phillips Parsons and siblings Herman C. Parsons & Sharon Yvonne Cook. He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife Brenda Parsons, sisters Charlotte Ann Parsons & Debbie Lynn Lewis (Jessie), brother-in-law Burton Thomas Colflesh, stepdaughter Tina Davis, stepsons EJ Pruitt (Brittney), John Hilton (Christine), Shane Hilton & Shannon Hilton (Donna), several grandchildren, great grandchild , nieces & nephews, and special friends Tommy Dominty & Jeff Bibby .
