Charles Loyd

Charles Loyd, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at his home in Bartow. Born October 9, 1951 in Cairo, GA, he was the son of the late Early Birdie and Agnes F. (Maloy) Loyd. Charles was a Maintenance Mechanic in the Citrus and Grove Service industry for many years. He was a longtime member of the Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church in Bartow. Along with his parents, Charles is preceded in death by several siblings and in-laws. He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife of 50 years, Lois Jean (Palmer) Loyd, his sons: Terry Loyd (Jill), Andy Loyd (Maureen) his siblings: Earl Loyd (Mary), Don Loyd (Eva), Thomas Loyd (Soon) Shirley Weatherington (Ed), Diane Key (Autrey) and Jane Palmer (Randy). Charles also leaves behind his grandchildren: Kyle (Amber), Jazzamine (Jose), Jordan, Brianna and his great grandchildren: Colton, Cade, Callan and Chloe. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 9:30am to 10:30am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. A graveside service will follow at 11:00am at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
