Charles Richard “Chuck” Shinabarker, born in 1945 in Wooster, Ohio, lived a life full of hard work, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Chuck had a lifelong passion for trucking. Beginning his career at just 20 years old, he spent more than five decades behind the wheel, continuing to drive well into his seventies. He was especially proud of owning his own trucking company and building a life around something he truly loved. Trucking was never just a job to him; it was a part of who he was.
Chuck had a larger-than-life personality and a way of making himself the star of the show. He loved to laugh, enjoyed making others laugh, and was never one to shy away from the spotlight. He was a proud man with a generous heart who lived life on his own terms. Those who knew him will remember his humor, his stories, and the unmistakable personality that made him one of a kind.
He leaves behind his four children, Shaun (Debbie) Shinabarker, Scott (Tammy) Shinabarker, Kevin (Paige) Shinabarker, and Kristen (William) Albritton; twelve grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
His favorite song was Frank Sinatra’s My Way, a fitting reflection of the man he was. Chuck followed his own road, worked hard for what he had, and lived life in a way that was uniquely his.
Though his journey here has come to an end, the memories, laughter, and love he leaves behind will continue through the generations of his family.
He traveled many roads in his lifetime, but he always traveled them his way.
A Celebration of Chuck's Life will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow, FL.
The family will also hold a memorial gathering on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Glenmont, Ohio, where Chuck wished for his ashes to return.
