Charles "Chuck" H. Seawater, Sr.

Fort Meade - Charles H. "Chuck" Seawater, Sr. 86, passed away March 17, 2018. He was born in Sandusky, Ohio on September 10, 1931 to Carl and Thelma Seawater and raised in Toledo, OH. In 1954, he met his wife, Jackie, on a blind date on April Fool's day. Later that year, he graduated from the University of Toledo and he and Jackie were married on June 26, 1954. They began their family and moved to Battle Creek, MI, where they raised 5 children. He worked for Kellogg's for 32 years as an electrical engineer. After retirement, he and Jackie moved to Fort Meade, FL where he was very active in community organizations, golfing and received a Doctor of Pancakeology for his commitment to Pancake Breakfasts. Chuck dedicated his life to God and was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Battle Creek, MI and then later to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bartow, FL. He loved music and often sang in the church's choir, performing many memorable solos and also loved spending time with his family. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, sister Marge, daughter Karen and great grandson Sullen. He is survived by his wife Jackie, of almost 64 years. Also, by his daughters, Nancy Cannon (Mike), Debra Peavey (Earnest) both of Fort Meade, sons Charles Seawater, Jr. of Fort Meade, Brian Seawater (Dawn) of Bardstown, KY, sister Joyce Johnson of Toledo, OH, his 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and other extended family. A Memorial Service 10:00 am Friday, 3/23/2018 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bartow. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church of Bartow building fund, P.O.
