Charles C. (Chuck) Albritton

March 19, 1951 — May 11, 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of Charles C. (Chuck) Albritton, age 74, announces his passing on May 11, 2025. He was born on March 19, 1951 to Vura and Frances Albritton. He brought sunshine and happiness when he walked into a room. He had a special smile that made others as happy as he was. Chuck did everything full speed ahead, whether it was working at Tower Sales, the company he started in the Atlanta area and worked at for 45 years, excelling in every sport he enjoyed playing, or attending every Gator sport he could! Life with Chuck was always an adventure, whether it was traveling the world, driving to all Gator games, or driving all over GA/AL/FL while working. Chuck was very well respected, very generous and showed much kindness and a very strong work ethic that he instilled in his daughters. He was a wonderful Dad and was always so proud of his daughters and sons in law, Ashlie / Russ Zusi and Kristin / Andrew Pickelsimer. He was “Bubba” to his sweet grandchildren, Andrew, Davis, Holt and Noah Kate. Chuck loved spending time with his big Bro, Bob, and nephew, Lance. In later years, some of his best times were spent visiting family in Sebastian, FL. He enjoyed his life fully and was a bundle of energy. Penny and he shared 53 loving years of marriage and moved here and there to live in many places in FL/GA. They spent over 30 years living in Duluth, GA. He always had a smile on his face and a dance in his step. He made life fun and he will be greatly missed by his family and so many friends that he made so easily along the way. He held a special place in his heart for his hometown of Fort Meade, FL, Amelia Island, FL and his house on Lake Hartwell in GA. Cruising around in his boat, fishing off the dock and just relaxing on the porch were his favorite passtimes. In the end, he fought a long, hard battle until he couldn’t fight any longer. Alzheimer’s finally took its toll and he lost that shining light of happiness and we lost our happy, strong Gator boy! We truly miss you, our sweet “Bubba”! A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the National Kidney Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association. A Celebration of Life will be held in Atlanta, GA in late June. Chuck always did enjoy a party!
