Cecil H. Tucker, age 95, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Grand Villa Assisted Living in Lakeland. Born September 18, 1923 in Fort Meade, he was the son of the late John and Vina (Boree) Tucker. Cecil was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII. He retired after many years in the phosphate industry working as a heavy equipment operator for Estech, formerly Swift and Company. He was also a longtime member and former deacon at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Fort Meade. Mr. Tucker is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Martha Pearl Tucker, and his sister Merle Prevatt. Cecil is survived by his two daughters: Sharon (Tucker) Gray of Mulberry, Laurel (Tucker) Strasser and son in law Mark Strasser of Mulberry, and his brother Alton Tucker of Lake Worth.
