Cecil "Chick" M. Peek, Jr,

Bartow - Cecil "Chick" M. Peek, Jr., age 74, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024 surrounded by his loving Family. He was born March 28, 1949 in Bartow, FL to Cecil "Mack" & Doris Peek. Cecil retired from the Insurance industry and went on to be the Pro Shop Manager for Bartow Golf Course for 18 years and loved playing golf when he wasn't working. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bartow and played for First Presby softball team for many years. He was preceded in death by Mack & stepmother Myrtice Peek, mother Doris Peek, and granddaughter Eliana Peek. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Fran Peek of Bartow, daughter Jennie Walker & husband Mike of Bartow, son Donny Peek & wife Erica of Lakeland, nephew Tom White & wife Kelly of Mars, PA, niece Christie Johnson & Mike of Winchester, VA, grandchildren Michael & Bryce Walker, Arianna Pels, Evalise Peek, Riley & Kensie White, Breeze, Skylar & Raynah Johnson, sister Jan Blum of Clermont, two brothers Gerald Tucker & wife Melanie of Bartow and Kent Tucker & wife Beth of Anna Maria Island, several nieces, nephews and many loving friends. A Celebration of Cecil's Life will start at 3:00 pm, with a reception to follow until 7:00 pm Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Idlewood Venue, 150 Idlewood Avenue North in Bartow, FL. Dad's Celebration of Life on 3/3 @ 3pm @ Idlewood Venue will be casual and comfortable attire just like my dad would want it, feel free to wear something Gator.
