Caroline Varn Loadholtes

Mrs. Caroline Varn Loadholtes, age 87, a Native of Fort Meade, FL, died Wednesday, December 12, 2007 from complications due to Alzheimers. She was a Teacher & Librarian for 25 years at Ft. Meade Middle School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fort Meade. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Tri-Delta at Florida State College for Women now FSU and the local chapter, Historical Museum of Fort Meade, The Garden Club of Fort Meade, a lifelong leader of the Girl's Scouts of America, and a Member of the Ft. Meade American Legion Post 23. She Served in the Womens Army Corp. during World War II. She is preceded in death by her husband Bill Joe Loadholtes, Sr. She is survived by her Three Daughters, Mrs. Janet & Bruce Bearrentine of Fort Meade. Mary Nell & Jeff Grissette of Fort Meade. Laura & Mike Johnson of Tallahassee, FL. One Son, Joe & Mary Loadholtes, Jr. of Peachtree City, Ga. Three Sister-n-Laws, Jean Varn of Fort Pierce, FL. Ginny Varn of Stafford, KS. Margaret Loadholtes of Lakeland, FL Nine Grandchildren, Chester & Patrick Sheffield both of Fort Meade. Sarah Grissette of Gainesville, FL. Lenora & Kline Bearrentine both of Fort Meade. Sion Bearrentine of Bartow. Nick & Courtney Loadholtes Peachtree City, GA. Holly Johnson of Tallahassee One Greatt Grandson Mason Sheffield. Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Friday, December 14, 2007. Funeral service will be at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Meade at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 15, 2007 . Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade.
