Carole Purvis Dixon

Carole Purvis Dixon, age 67, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Born July 23, 1942 in Tampa, Mrs. Dixon has been a longtime resident of Polk County. She attended the First Baptist Church of Homeland. She was a cashier with XYZ Liquor of Bartow for several years. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 18 yrs. Mrs. Dixon is survived by her husband: Carey A. Dixon of Homeland; two daughters: Cynthia A Murray of Lakeland & Kimberly K. Holder of Homeland; two brothers Carl A. Purvis of Lakeland & Marc Purvis of Tampa; two sisters: Patricia Odom of Bartow & Carrie Purvis of Tampa; 4 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Tuesday, July 13, 2010, 2-3 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 3 pm at the funeral Home. Interment will be at Homeland Cemetery in Homeland, FL.
