Carol Schreck

Tampa - Carol Schreck, age 89, passed away October 2, 2022, at Tampa Gardens Senior Living in Tampa. Born on December 11, 1932, in Indianapolis, IN. She was a Supply Clerk for the Department of Defense. She has authored articles about plants in the gesneriad family. She was a member of Tampa Bay Gesneriad Society, The Gesneriad Society, African Violet Council of Florida, and African Violet Society of America. She enjoyed sewing, walking in the park and crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin "Ed" Schreck and stepson Lee "Buddy" Titus. She is survived by a loving family that includes her children: Karen Boergesson of Taylorsville, NC, Kerry "K.D."Schreck of Las Vegas, NV, daughter, Sherry Livingston of Alpharetta, GA, stepson Edwin E Schreck of Loganville, GA, sisters Marilyn Weaver of Indianapolis, IN & Joyce Alte of Indianapolis, IN, brother James Shimp, Jr. of Greenwood, IN, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home.
