Carol Sandra Cannon

Bartow- Carol Sandra Cannon, age 82, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 in Winter Haven. Born in Plant City on March 23, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Gladys (McGullion) West. Mrs. Cannon retired from Hatton Insurance in Bartow where she was a Customer Service Representative for many years. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow where she served in the preschool and children's ministry and was a staple in the the bereavement committee. Mrs. Cannon is survived by a loving family that includes her husband of 63 years, Russell Cannon of Bartow, her children: Nancy Lewis (Randy) of Kent, OH, Susan Evans (James) of Bartow, Craig Cannon (Kimberly) of Kannapolis, NC, her siblings: Sheila Jenkins of Tampa and Gerald West of Plant City. She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 29th from 6pm to 8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral service will follow on Saturday January 30th at 11:00am at the First Baptist Church of Bartow.
