Carol A. Osgood

Carol A. Osgood, age 73, passed away from respiratory failureThursday, January 17, 2013 in Lakeland. Born July 22, 1939 in Tampa, she was a lifelong resident of Bartow. Mrs. Osgood was a Charge Nurse for both Bartow Memorial Hospital and Lakeland Regional Medical Center, serving in the Labor and Delivery Unit for many years. She was also a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow. Mrs. Osgood is survived by a loving family that includes her husband David Osgood of Bartow, two sons; David Byrd (Melissa) of Lakeland, Jonathan Byrd (Shannon) of Bartow, a daughter Susan Underwood of Indian Rocks Beach, a grandson Charles Sloan, and two cousins; Janice Blum and Cecil Peek. The family will receive friends Friday, January 18th from 6PM to 8PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow Saturday, January 19th at 10:00AM at the First Baptist Church of Bartow, 410 East Church Street in Bartow.
