Carol A. Barber

Lakeland -Carol A. Barber , age 77, passed away on November 17, 2024, at Lakeland Regional Health and Medical Center. She was born on May 29, 1947, in Lakeland, FL. She worked as the Mission Director of South Florida Association Friends, Assistant Librarian in Fort Meade for 15 years and served as a Church Secretary for First Baptist Bradley, Mount Olive Baptist Church, Polk City, Berea Baptist Church, Auburndale, First Baptist Eaton Park & Renolds Road Baptist Church. She also served as the church librarian for First Baptist Church Bradley, First Baptist Eaton Park & First Baptist Reynolds. She enjoyed knitting, teaching children and adults at church and spending time with people. She loved to help seniors and children. She is survived by a loving family that includes her husband Clayton Barber, Sr. of Lakeland, son Clayton Barber, Jr. of Lakeland , daughter Tina Heddleston of Bartow, siblings Linda Lockhart of Lakeland, Robbie Boreson of Lakeland & Sandra Perry of Lakeland, grandchildren Ian Barber, Megan Barber, Tiffany Heddleston & Keith Heddleston , 11 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
