Carmen Rodriguez Herrera

Carmen Rodriguez Herrera, age 67, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 in Lakeland. Born February 14, 1955 in Pearsall, TX, she was the daughter of the late Candido Rodriguez and Hortencia Rodriguez-Benavidez. Carmen was a homemaker and a member of the Family Worship Center in Lakeland. She is survived by a loving family that includes her husband of 51 years, Elias B. Herrera, Sr. of Mulberry, her children: Samantha Coronado (Jesse) of Bartow, Elias Herrera, Jr. (Ruby) of Bowling Green, David Herrera (Maria) of Highland City and Celestine Herrera of Mulberry. She also leaves behind her siblings: Soila Ybarra, Isabelle Rodriguez, Gloria Rodriguez, Helen Pagano, Ernesto Rodriguez, Margie Rodriguez, Ana Cirilo and eight grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 10am to 11am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home chapel.
