Carl Everett Troup

Lakeland- Carl E. Troup, Sr, 73, died Monday, Jan 25, 2010 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of kidney failure. Born Sept 3, 1936 in Lawrenceburg, TN, Mr. Troup has been a resident of Lakeland for ten years, moving from Bartow. He was with the Boilermakers Union for many years prior to being a Business Broker in Realty sales. He was a member of Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church in Bartow; the Bartow Breakfast Lions club holding several offices including Florida district 35-1 Governor from 1997-98. He was preceded in death by his son: Carl Troup, Jr.; father & mother: William & Leora Troup; brother: James Troup; sister: Willowdean Jones. He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Patricia "Pat" Whitaker Troup; son: Ron & wife Trish Troup; daughter: Beth & husband Chuck Weaver all of Lakeland. 3 sisters: Dorothy Clayton of Brooklyn MI; Mary Nell Ezell of Lawrenceburg, TN & Sue Horne of Columbia, TN; 10 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Sunday, Jan 31, 2-4 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb 1, at 11 am, at Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church, 1125 Hwy. 17 S, Bartow.
