Carl W. Hielscher

Carl W. Hielscher, age 86, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at his home in Alturas. Born March, 9, 1932 in Bowling Green, FL, he was the son of the late Rudolph and Bytha (Rhoden) Hielscher. Mr. Hielscher was a Landscaping Contractor and a member of the First Baptist Church of Alturas. Carl served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Raymurl Hielscher. He is survived by a loving family that includes his son Kevin Hielscher of Alturas, Vicki Rainey (Terry) of Greenville, SC, Leanne Mitchell (Doug) of State Road, NC, and his sister Vivian Underwood of Jacksonville, FL. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Patrick, Katiey, Miranda, Abby, Wesley, Chris, Joey, Justin, Jack and Jarod along with his seven great grandchildren: Gabe, Eli, Scarlett, Jonah, Phillip, Scout, and Eden. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 10th from 6pm to 8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday, September 11th at 11:00am at the First Baptist Church of Alturas.
