Carl F. Ford

Carl F. Ford, 86, of Lakeland, FL, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, from his battle with cancer. Mr. Ford was born November 15, 1923 in Gardner, FL. He served in the US Army during WWII. Carl was a Road Contractor. He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Dorothy Ford of Lakeland. Two Daughters; Shirley Jeffries & husband Bernard and and Karen Bennett & husband Ronald both of Lakeland. Two Sons: Dennis Ford & wife Jackie of Lakeland and Ronald Ford of Deland, FL. Sister; Nell Turner of Houston, TX. Nine Grandchildren; Dana Joesph, Jamie Ford, Melissa Ford, Trey Ford Jones, Skyler Ford, Marilyn Watson, Angie Zavodny, Becky Hyman and Bud Jeffries. and Nineteen Great Grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow, FL, where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am Friday, June 18, 2010. Funeral service will be at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home at 11:00 am Friday, June 18, 2010, Dr. Harold Brown officiating. Interment will be at Lakeland Memorial Gardens in Lakeland, FL.
