Brian V. Reeder

Brian V. Reeder, age 72, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022, in Tampa. Born December 9, 1949, in Minneapolis, MN, he was the son of the late Harvey Reeder and Vivian Reeder of Bartow. Brian was a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. He has attended McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church of Bartow and was a past Post Commander of the American Legion, Post #3 of Bartow and a member of the V.F.W. of Winter Haven. Brian retired from the Polk County Board of County Commissioners after over 30 years of service as a Utilities Supervisor. He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife of 50 years, Cheryl Diane Reeder of Bartow, his children: Daphne Murray (Malcom) of Moyock, NC, Virginia Ortiz of Lakeland, his mother Vivian Reeder of Bartow, his siblings: Alan Reeder (Hae Yung) of South Korea, Dawn Godwin of Bartow, Cindy Prevatte (Terry) of Bartow along with his grandchildren: Isaiah, Adrianna, Jacob, and Addison. A memorial graveside service will be held in Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow at a later date to be announced.
