Bobby Wilson

Mr. Charles R. "Bobby" Wilson, age 61, passed away from cancer Tuesday, August 11, 2009. Born February 12, 1948 in Fort Lauderdale, Bobby was the son of the late Coot and Lucille Wilson. He was the co-owner and operator of C. Wilson Construction of Bartow and also C. Wilson Ranch of Bartow. Mr. Wilson was a former member of the A.R.P. Church of Bartow and was attending the First Baptist Church of Bartow. Bobby was a longtime member, past and present president of May Bluff Hunt Club in Folkston, GA. He is survived by a loving family that includes his two daughters; B.J. Wilson of New York, NY, and D.D. Wilson of Delray Beach. He also leaves behind his brother Rick Wilson (Teresa) of Bartow, nephew Travis Wilson (Robin) of Bartow, two nieces; Erin Sims (Bob) of Daytona Beach, and Lori Ann Wilson of Bartow. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow where family will receive friends Friday, August 14th from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15th at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Bartow, 410 East Church Street in Bartow.
