Bill R. Padgett

Bill R. Padgett, age 81, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 in Winter Haven. Born August 17, 1936 in Saint Cloud, he was the son of the late Claude and Myrtle Padgett. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. Mr. Padgett worked as a Code Enforcement Officer for Polk County for many years. Along with his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Faye Padgett, daughter, Rose Marie Padgett, children: Myra Horninger, Marlene Lewis, Ray McDaniel, brothers: Harold Padgett, Claude Padgett, Jr. and grandson, Stephen McDaniel. He is survived by his children: Marilyn Capps (Glenn), Leon McDaniel, Larry McDaniel (Mary), along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday November 28th at 11:00am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. In Lieu of flowers memorials can be made to www.spcaofpolkcounty.org
