Bill E. Corley

Bill E. Corley, age 85, passed away from Parkinson's Disease Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in Winter Haven. Born January 23, 1927 in Lake Wales, he was the son of the late Rev. Henry R. and Hattie (Johnson) Corley. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Mr. Corley retired from Crown Cork and Seal where he worked as a Machinist for many years. He was of the Church of God faith. Mr. Corley is survived by a loving family that includes his wife of 62 years, Betty J. Corley of Winter Haven, four sons; Rev.Ed Corley (Kathy) of Alabama, Timmy Corley (Jenny) of Sebring, Tony Corley of Winter Haven, Brian Corley (Debi) also of Winter Haven, two daughters; Debra Corley (Terry) of Ellerbe, NC and Brenda Corley of Panama City. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow on Monday, January 14th from 2PM to 3PM. Funeral services will follow at 3:00PM at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation, 1501 N.W. 9th Ave. Miami, FL 33136-149.
