Betty Hudson Waldrop

Betty Hudson Waldrop, age 85, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015. Born August 10, 1929 in Bartow, she was the daughter of the late J.T. Hudson and Volania Hudson. Betty was a lifelong resident of Bartow and a member of Peace Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Waldrop was a Licensed Practical Nurse a Polk General Hospital for many years. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Waldrop in 1961 and son Thomas A. Waldrop in 2013. She is survived by three children: David Waldrop (Grace) of Atlanta, GA, Jimmie J. Waldrop of Edisto Beach, SC, Betsy Landry (Gary) of Lakeland, three siblings: Robert Hudson (Carole), Lonnie Hudson, Mary Pfohler, and two grandchildren: Michael Mooneyham (Pamela), and Andrew Landry (Jessica). The family will receive friends Thursday, June 11th from 10am to 11am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home chapel.
