Betty J. Pierce

Lakeland - Betty J. Pierce, age 93, passed away May 8, 2023, at Lakeland Regional Health and Medical Center. She was born on May 1, 1930, in Fort Myers, FL. She was a Homemaker. She was a Fort Meade High School Cheerleader and 1951 Miss Fort Meade. She enjoyed Florida Gator football, watching sports, scratch offs and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband A.C. Pierce, daughter Renee McDaniel, granddaughter Ericka Jenkins and son in laws Robert Crews & Ray McDaniel. She is survived by a loving family that includes her sons Charles Pierce of Bartow & Tommy Pierce (Dolores) of Bartow, daughters Delilah Crews of Lakeland & Lynn Vannoy ( Dave) of Lakeland, sisters Polly Duke of Lakeland & Vondell Lespi (Ronald) of Gainesville, brother Kenneth Howze (Patti) of Albany, GA, 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends Monday, May 15, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral service will be held Monday, May 15, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.
